This day in 2006:

Oktoberfest : We usually ended up inside the Lowenbrau tent.  The right mixed of good music, good times and locals.

 

TDI06: Back again

This day in 2006:

Oktoberfest : enjoying the rides.  The ride above wasn't so bad after a few drinks, but the one below I can not recommend!

 

TDI06: Lionel Ritchie at last night of the proms

This day in 2006:

A group of us when to Last night of the proms in Hyde Park. Amounst all the Fan-fair, Lionel Ritchie was there to sing a few of his tunes. We were too far away for photos but there was fireworks!

TDI06: Samaria Gorge, Crete

This day in 2006:

I went for a walk down the Samaria Gorge, a 16km walk with wonderful scenery. A one point the gorge is only a few metres wide but 100s of metres high. The shadow and bright sky played havoc with my camera but I did find this wonderful old rickety bridge that looks like it had been there for centuries!

There is always something happening in Covent Garden. This guy was one of the regulars. Interestingly though, a few days after I took this, one of the street performers got banned for scaring the shoppers. I am pretty sure this is the guy:
